GREEN DESIGN IN CHINA RESEARCH

The objective of this research is to assist foreign design firms to better understand China’s green tourism industry by looking for potential areas of opportunity and collaboration. This report was focussed on the Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions.

To achieve this, RedFern Associates gathered data from the following key sources:

  • Interviews with related bureau officers (planning, land and resources, tourism etc.), private developers, government-related bidding agencies, and both foreign & local design institutes. RedFern conducted more than 20 interviews with key players.

    CHINA WINE AND PORT DISTRIBUTION RESEARCH

    RedFern interviewed industry specialists to gain insights into the wine market in China, especially regarding Portuguese wine and port. Further to this we carried out online research into the state of the Portuguese wine and port markets in China.

    From the interviews we have found 11 potential domestic distributors and importers for Portuguese wine and port.

    SHANGHAI GYM SUPPLEMENTS MARKET RESEARCH

    RedFern conducted research on the protein bar, weight management drink and protein powder markets in Shanghai and online in China. We visited a total of 32 stores in Shanghai, and researched 210 websites referenced in four of China’s leading e-commerce platforms. RedFern researched the following key questions:
